Services
Access -- The library is fully accessible with one designated parking space, wheelchair ramp on Elgin St., washroom facilities, and an elevator.
Art and Cultural Exhibits in the Atrium -- Displaying the works of local artists and artisans. Call the library to find out how you can display your art in the Atrium.
Audio-Visual -- Loans of DVDs, videos, talking books, & music CDs.
Books -- Loan of regular and large print books.
Computer Access -- Free access to the Internet, e-mail, electronic databases, reference titles, children's titles, periodicals, and complete Microsoft Office Suite from public terminals. Call to reserve a computer.
Films for Seniors -- Held the first Wednesday of each month, October to May, at 1:30 pm. Free admission & free refreshments. Call the library for programme details.
Interlibrary Loans -- Requests filled from national and international sources.
Magazines and Newspapers -- Local, national, and international newspapers and magazines. Access to full-text magazines in electronic format.
Microfilm Reader -- Providing access to archival information on microfilm. Local newspapers from 1850 to present.
Reader's Advisory -- Library staff will make suggestions to satisfy your reading needs.
Reference -- Answers to simple and complex inquiries.
Reserves -- Reservation service for new and popular titles.
Services With Charges -- Photocopies, computer print-outs, and programming.
Shut-In Service -- Delivery of library materials by The Friends of the Library to patrons unable to visit the library due to short-term illness, physical disability, or age.
School Visits -- Providing instruction in the use of the library to area schools. Classes scheduled October to May.
Summer Reading Club -- July & August. Call the library for details.
