  • Wednesday, Friday, Saturday. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Summer Saturdays (June 1st - Sept. 30th) . . . . . . . . . 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

FAMILY LITERACY DAY at the LIBRARY

Friday, January 27, 2012

Everyone is invited to take a learning journey with us for Literacy Day 2012.

Stories 'n' Crafts

  • 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. in the Children's Room
  • Free stories and a craft for children ages 2 to 5 and their caregivers.

Journey to Learning Passport

  • Pick up a "Journey to Learning Passport" at the Library, January 23rd to 27th. Completed passports returned to the Library before 5:00 p.m. on January 27th will be entered in our Literacy Day draw.

Finish the Story...

  • Pick up your "Write Your Own Story" entry form at the Library , January 23rd to 27th. Complete the story based on the pictures. Entries must be submitted to the Library before 5:00 p.m. on January 27th. The winning entry will be published in the next edition of the Port Colborne Public Library newsletter.

Colouring Contest

  • Colouring contest pages will be available at the Library, January 23rd to 27th. Entries must be returned before 5:00 p.m., January 27th. All entries will be submitted to the nation-wide Literacy Day Colouring Contest and entered in a draw for a Literacy Day prize pack!

FREE CA TAX CLINIC

Saturday, March 10, 2012, 9:30 a.m. -  4:30 p.m.

Free tax return preparation for individuals meeting the following criteria:

  • Gross household income with no dependants must be less than $20,000.
  • Gross household income with dependants must be less than $30,000.

Please note:

  • Individuals with business and/or rental income do not qualify regardless of the amount of income.
  • Returns cannot be completed for persons who have passed away.
